We find inner peace when we fully surrender to what is. When this inner peace is projected outward, we help to create a more peaceful world. We learn to surrender through integral mindfulness practices. It is important to understand the difference between surrender and submission. Only when we surrender can mindful action arise, while submission leads to inactivity.
There are no direct indicators that mindfulness practices or yoga etc. make us more happy. In fact, we often initially become more unhappy, as the awakening process requires us to go through what is called “the dark night of the soul”. But eventually, our lives will improve in the areas that bring lasting happiness: Healthy relationships and living on purpose.
